Competition changes: *Chinese Superleague replaces the Korean K League as a playable league (thanks to gio for enabling relegation!). *Confederations Cup disabled. *English competitions' fixtures completely rescheduled to largely match modern dates. *Greek leagues restructured to 14/12 teams. *Italian competitions' fixtures completely rescheduled to largely match modern dates. *Italian Serie B restructured to 20 teams. *Spanish competitions' fixtures completely rescheduled to largely match modern dates. *World Cup Qualifyng matches are now all played during regular international breaks. Minor competition changes: *Asian Cup now takes place in January instead of October (third place game also disabled). *Copa América now takes place in the correct years (2020, 2024 etc) (invited nations also updated). *Coupe de Belgique replays removed from the Quarter Final and Final (extra-time and penalties used instead). *Croatian leagues no longer use playoffs to determine the positions of teams who finish with equal points: they now use head-to-head results followed by goal difference. *European Championship Qualifying playoff nations changed from England & Scotland to Belgium & Netherlands (playoff draw also changed). *European continental competitions are now played in the same gameweeks as each other. *FIFA Club World Cup: fixed a rare bug where the competition would crash during the Semi Final draw (thanks gio!). *International competitions' host / potential host countries updated. *Polish Ekstraklasa: points gained by teams in the Group Stage will now not be halved going into the second half of the season (thanks Anoxic!). *Republic Of Ireland: summer break reduced to prevent hectic post-break schedule (plus some other minor tweaks to competitions' dates). *Türkiye Kupasi fixtures rescheduled, rounds renamed and all rounds now have two legs where applicable. *Turkish Süper Lig fixtures slightly rescheduled (to avoid clash with November internationals). *UEFA Super Cup: substitutes named increased from 7 --> 9. Gameplay changes: *Buttons (+ and -) will be much less sensitive to mouse clicks on the transfer bid screen (thanks Nick!). *Denmark now has its own transfer window (no longer uses Northern Ireland's) - transfer window related items will now appear in your news feed. *Find Player searches will now display all players with the entered name, not just a few (thanks Nick!). *Players' physical attributes will now improve with training. *Regens with high potential abilites should come back with better attributes than before (numerous 20s). *Sweden now has its own transfer window (no longer uses Norway's) - transfer window related items will now appear in your news feed. Minor gameplay changes: *Cádiz CF are now properly linked to their B team (also removed Girona's now non-existant B team). *Republic of Ireland: annual awards now take place in November, after the domestic season is over. *Russia: annual awards now take place in May, after the domestic season is over. *Russia: date for new games started in Russia brought forward by a couple of weeks (Russian FNL will no longer have one game already played). *Spain: date for new games started in Spain brought forward by a couple of weeks due to earlier opening fixtures. *Spanish Segunda División B clubs can now sign non-EU players (no match or squad limits). *TFF 1. & 2. Lig substitutes named reduced from 9 --> 7. *Turkish clubs now play reserve matches. *Turkish training period extended by two weeks until June 3rd to cover the Turkish 2. Lig Playoff fixtures. Display changes: *First language of players & staff from Bosnia, Mongolia, South Africa & Ukraine is now their native language. *match_eng errors (occurs when a team selects less than 11 players) will now tell you exactly which team is at fault. Known issues introduced in v8: *Awards In Ireland and Russia seem to stop a few months before the end of the season (bug actually introduced in v7). *FIFA Club World Cup: European and South American teams may now potentially meet in the Semi Final (they are kept separate IRL). *La Liga teams will play matches on Christmas Day in some years. *World Cup South American qualifying sometimes awarded extra qualifying spot, rendering their playoff vs an Oceanic team meaningless.
